2008: OzLeisure year of the podcast

Wishing you a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2008

Well, the festive period is over for another year, and we are all settling back into the normal work routine once again. The New Year brings new opportunitues, and here at OzLeisure.com.au it is no different - we have many plans for the website during 2008, and all of them aimed providing you - the people who use the site, and by definition the reason the site exists - with more exciting information.

As you already know, we do like to move with the times and make use of the latest technologies to bring you everything that you need. You will also know that we are very interested in podcasting, and judging by the large number of downloads that our shows receive, we know that you are too. To that end, we are calling 2008 OzLeisure year of the podcast; in recent months we have been hard at work planning a bunch of new series to bring you heaps of additional information. We are pleased to announce the following podcast series that will be appearing in the coming months:

OzLeisure Traveller
In association with tourism boards around the world, this series will take a look at leisure activities and events all around the world. The inaugral episode is set to launch in the middle of this month, starting with looking at the UK. Following a number of episodes covering various parts of the UK, we will be looking at Ireland, then other countries in Europe before heading around the rest of the world towards the USA and Canada, the Middle East and everywhere else.

Beginner's guides
Our series of technology podcasts. These will be video podcasts used (as the name suggests) to educate viewers as to how technology items work. Aimed at the beginner, we will be starting with Microsoft Windows Vista, then the Microsoft Office suite of products and moving on from there. The scope of the beginner's guide series is almost limitless, so there is bound to be something to help everyone out. Look out for the first episode towards the end of this month.

Interior design
Working with a specialist in the area, this podcast series - due to launch in March 2008 - will look at interior design techniques, furniture and fashions that are hot and general tips on creating the home of your dreams.

Finance
Each episode will be talking to our specialist financial advisor, we will be looking at financial issues in relation to leisure activities and travel. From how travel should be paid for, to insurance cover and foreign currencies, this podcast series will give all the information that any traveller will need to know. Expect the first episode in April.

There are other series' on the drawing board as well, but it is too early to give any details about those at the moment. All we can say just for now is that many will be sports-focused and will feature specialists from around the country in their fields.

We hope that you really enjoy the offerings that are coming. If you have an idea for a podcast series and would like to discuss it with us, please drop us a line and we can discuss it with you.
